the truck is a 2011 sport 4x4 4L with 5spd tranny, 3.73 gears open. flowmaster delta 40, almost a zero option truck, manual locks, roll up windows, fixed steering wheel, base radio, vinyl floor. just the way i like it, less to go wrong. Its a pickup mot a Bentley. I did get a sliding window though, gotta through coffee cups somewhere.
here is the truck on day one at the dealership with a fresh wax!
one of the first mods would be a torsion lift and AAL giving me about 2.5+ inches of lift.
it handled much stiffer after this and felt like i was driving a shopping cart... that was fixed by removing the sway bar, handled bumps much better. big improvement at the expense of some body roll, but nothing i would consider dangerous or even uncomfortable.
new tire to fill that open space!
265 75 16" GY duratracs, very good tire. mud snow anything.
also new backrack, rhino liner and leds
----------
next new rims were needed to take care of some of the rubbing at full turn.
these are 16x8 procomp extreme alloys 1069 with about a half inch off set.
brings the tires just uot past the fenders.
got the exact look i was going for.
I also had to buy new lugs to fit the wheels
there is also 5 KCs 100w lights on the back, the two outers are dummies. i get plenty of light from the three. i got them free from a friend. sanded and painted them. im not a fan of chrome, or fake chrome. whatever it was...
the lights were made on a bar i made to bolt to the back rack, 2 lengths of angle bar welded together, very simple
fresh paint & all cleaned up
i have since cleaned up the wiring
----------
STX grille swap + tinted corners & tails
those 2 mods cost a total of 12$
only did 3 light coats of VHT on my lights, didnt want them blacked out, just tinted. for the clear i used krylon plastic outdoor paint. also about 3 coats.
sand between each coat of vht and clear. mine turned out great, just as smooth as they were stock.
----------
messing around in some puddles haha
