Anchorshot's Build
Anchorshot's Build Thread "Not Dial Up Friendly"
This is what it looked like when I bought it, completely stock:
I drove it like this for over 2 years, it only started to change when I needed new tires. I decided on BFG AT's, I also added the topper for weekend camping trips.
Got hit in a parking lot at some point.
I also added a bull bar and some lights shortly after.
I then got tired of all the extra weight of the topper. I sold it and replaced it with a soft tonneau roll up cover. I also removed and sold the bull bar and lights.
Added front tow hooks...
I've been happy with this setup. It's much lighter and we still have plenty of secure room for all of our camping gear.

Re: Anchorshot's Build
I was happy with that setup until I got the bug to lift it. I went with the eBay wheelsnparts 3" spindle lift.
Out with the old...
Installed...
After the install it had to much cali lean for my taste. I lowered the torsion bars (were slightly raised) and installed Monroe load adjusting shocks in the rear. The coil over design gave me about 1.5" of lift. In the future I plan on new leaf packs.
During the lift install I also replaced upper and lower ball joints and inner/outer tie rods.

Re: Anchorshot's Build
I also have an early RCI skidplate.
Skid Plates !!
I think one of my next projects will be repainting this with the Rustoleum hammered finish.
----------
I've had an OHC that I bought a long time ago. I mounted it but never wired it up, that is, until this weekend.
I've also built a platform in the rear cab for my dogs. When they ride I have a 3" thick piece of foam cut to fit with a custom pillow case type design cover. Underneath I have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and misc manuals/documents.
----------
Said dogs...

Re: Anchorshot's Build
Nice truck! I think i'm going to do a false floor in the rear just like that. Good idea to keep my amp, extinguisher, and little things under.

Re: Anchorshot's Build
My bed setup is pretty simple, I have a hi-lift mounted on the passenger side and normally the shovel is mounted to the hi-lift. I have a watertight storage box that I keep misc recovery gear, fluids, and tools in.
----------
Here are some random flex shots after the lift was installed...
----------
And here are some random shots after a fresh detail...
My next big job will be painting the chassis. I also need to figure out either how to replace the rubber trim around the quarter glass on the extended cab or how to get it painted, it looks terrible right now.
The next big purchase will be 16's and some 33's.

Re: Anchorshot's Build
It was quite an experience, luckily there wasn't any body damage (to the truck), he only hit the glass.

It's a Pentax K-01, I have a handful of lenses but most of these are with a prime 40mm.

It did, it was feasting on something off to the side and decided it needed to fly across the highway, however he didn't quite get the elevation he needed.
