Default APB's FX4 Build Thread

So I thought it was about time to make up my own build thread. Lots o' pics! So, here we go:

I bought the truck in VA in 2009, no rust what so ever

I added my cobra CB with antenna, then drove it up to New Hampshire, where it lives now.

My first few mods were the throttle cable, air box, and fog light.
I found a factory 6 disc radio for $80, and it went right in place of my tape/cd radio.
Then I added my OHC, picked up from a yard for about $20, and painted the gray to black.

Bought goodyear duratracs to replace my street tires

Then I bought 06 taillights from a member on here, and I love em.

Then I decided I would go with shaded corners, and also found those from a member on here.
They will look better once I do my headlight mod.

The most current mod was my instrument cluster. i originally only wanted orange guage needles, but then I wanted white guages too, So a third member on here sold me his white cluster, but I neglected to say I needed a 4wd one. So, then I had another idea, use the needles and silver backround.

I have in my posession, a drawtite trailer hitch, a flowmaster 44, and daylighters, the last two came in the mail today

So this brings me to my to do mods, in no particular order:
Headlight mod
Silver radio bezel
Repaint/blacken outside trim
Flowmaster super 44
Turn signal mod
Explorer puddle lamp mirrors
Rear disc brakes
Slotted front rotors
Explorer hood hinges
Tow hitch
T-bar crank
Oil pressure gauge mod (93-95 bezel)
Better speakers & possibly an 8" subwoofer
Headache rack w/ antenna mount
Manual front hubs
Heated seats w/ center console buttons
Super duty door handles
F150 tailgate handle
Custom two-tone paint

I would love to do a superlift with coils up front, but time, money, and wives make things happen slower. Perhaps a body lift? Not quite sure how safe they are.

Haha, I hear ya man. I don't think a body lift would hurt all that much if all you do is mild off-roading. There are lots of guys on here running them

Lol yup! I have on tap for maintenance, complete rear end rebuild(bearings, seals, new oil, and a diff guard), new rear u-joints, grease rear driveshaft, replace drivers fog light, install new muffler(none on the truck right now), flush tranny oil, and replace gasket and filter in said tranny. Good list huh?

----------

By the way, when are you lifting yours? I saw you are planning it

That's a decent list lol And about the lift, I'm not entirely sure yet. But hopefully by next August I've got alot of unexpected issues in life right now. But as of now I'm currently looking for a new axle so I can run 31s until my lift. I'm doing little by little and on a budget so my wife doesn't kill me lol

Honestly, I didnt like them. The said all terrain, but were more like a street tire, not to mention they didnt last that long, about 30k miles. My goodyears have about 30k now, and still a lot of life left in them.

So I had bought some KC daylighters, and was planning to put them behind the grille, but I have the second tranny cooler, and its in the way. I havent decided whether or not to mount them with brackets to the bumper, or take off the said cooler. More than likely I will do the first option. Has anyone had any issues with their off road lights and vandalism?

I know a few people including myself that have or had light mounted and I've never heard of anyone doing anything to them.

This past weekend I replaced my rear u-joints with Moog problem solvers. And Im pretty sure they were original with 180k miles, they put up quite the fight upon removal.
