UPS man dropped off a sweet little box for me today. Its an Interceptor Scan Gauge. Im pretty Impressed with this thing! Tons of cool things, i still havent figured it all out yet. My ADD had the best of me and rather than sitting in the truck playing with it, im here posting this haha.

Plugs right into the OBD2. It reads everything your rangers computer reads. Tons of gauges, code reader, and some other fun stuff. Looks cool as hell! AeroForce's website does not have the ranger listed in the "fit guide". But it does work, they over looked the ranger when they typed up the guide for some reason. I used autometer steering colomn gauge pod for the 97-01 F-150. Its a direct fit, however its poor quality. The shroud itself doesnt mount worth a shit. Im still trying to figure out a good way to mount it. Its getting colder by the minute here now that the sun is behind the clouds. I have tomorrow off, so i will play with it more then.

Sorry i should have specified... I bought the Gauge Pod from summit. I got the Gauge from an ebay seller. You can get the gauge direct from AeroForce. They both sell them for the same price, but the guy on ebay offers free shipping, while aeroforce charges 10or11 bucks.

Update:

Played with it a little more today. The rangers have a ton of stuff you can monitor. I found out i get my peak MPG at 70MPH, and my speed-o is about 2mph fast. I screwed around with the "annunciator" (the red LED warning lights) and set them to come on when my fuel level is below 10%, and also to come on when RPM are over 4,000.

As far as the gauge pod goes.... Short of putting some screws in it there wasnt much more i could do to get it to mount better. So i just put some more double sided tape on the inside. Im sure it will work just fine, but it really pisses off my OCD when i think about it.. lol.
