Default HELP! Deal gone bad!

Well as some of you may know I bought an axle from Ranger01. The axle was suppose to be a 8.8 4.10 with the Torsen limited slip out of his level two. I had asked him to confirm that it was the right axle and he said it was. So I paid for the axle and shipping to have it sent to me. I received it Thursday and didn't have time until last night to open it up to make sure I got the right thing. Low and behold its 7.5 conventional axle!

So here is the real problem. He doesn't think he needs to refund both the price of the axle and the shipping I paid to get the right item.

I did of course send him a picture of the inside to prove I was given the wrong axle.

He is now accusing me of lying because he checked the VIN sticker on the door so it should be what the sticker says. Obviously someone swapped out the axle for some reason like on my truck.

So I really hate to do something like this but I have money on the line. I just want you guys to back me up on the refund thing so he will realize what he owes me; both the price of the axle and shipping since I didn't receive what I paid for.

I hope this makes sense to those of you reading this!

Save all your emails and messages between him and you and file a PayPal dispute. PayPal is great about refunding money.

He should have verified that the axle was indeed what it was suppose to be. Refund is in order. Since the axle was mis-represented, then he should refund the cost and shipping.

Thread moved to member reviews, and sent Ranger01 a link to this thread. Hopefully you guys get it worked out smoothly.

Yes we have discussed the issue but could not come to a conclusion and a PayPal claim is opened up.

Ya unfortunately this is the only way to go about it. Don't worry PayPal will refund the $ they are very good about that. Ranger01 should have done his homework and made sure, For a pricey item to sell and ship that he was 100% positive that it was the correct part. Could have saved a lot of time and hassle. Good luck man I'm sure he will end up coming around and realize his mistake and own up to it. Don't forget to leave feedback on his profile for future member sales!

Thumbs down Re: HELP! Deal gone bad!

Damn, I really hate to hear about this.
He needs to give you a full refund and shame on him for not owning up to his mistakes.

I knew he was a shady character when he promised me the shifter for $140 and then sold it to another member for $170.

PayPal will help you through this, it might take 2 months to get your money back, but you'll eventually get it back.

Good Luck
