since this is the second time you've mentioned this (that I've seen) on this board, I'm pressed to ask -- what company manufactures the components you install, and where are they manufactured?

Atleast someone understand hows business works

Like I said, if you want to buy someone else's products, PLEASE DO!

If I told you the name of the company in Japan that made all my products, people on here would start contacting them directly and taking all my business. So that, I cannot say.
What I can tell you is the American Name, which is AMP

All my products are made in Japan, where all the good HID products come

I thought AMP made various connectors, sockets and such.

In any case, I have no way to validate or assess your claim that "everybody else sells cheap Chinese junk" when I don't really know what you sell... so, all that is available to base a purchase decision on is your advertising hyperbole.

Please don't interpret this as any sort of "attack" -- it's not; I won't buy a "genuine Rolex" from some random guy on the street (or internet), either.

And I don't blame you. I understand, GGlighting isn't a huge name. This is why I say please, go ahead and buy other company's kits, it won't hurt my feelings I promise

This is also misinformation. There is no such law in PA. I can say this with certainty because I'm reading the state law right now. Whoever told you that was probably also misinformed. Penn law says where headlights must be mounted. It also lists SAE standards, but those are only for sealed beams. And it states they must be white.

Misinformation about each state's laws on lighting is so rampant on the internet. Lots of it is because of people just passing on what they heard. And lots of it is even from police officers who don't know what the law actually says.

No one has nothing to say

I think hearing feedback FROM AN ACTUAL CUSTOMER is the best way of dealing with this.

I wouldn't pay 20$ more for a kit that's illegal, personally (anything else than white is illegal here). I do, however, admit that 55$ is less than some, depending on your shipping prices.

But, aren't the AMP hid kits made by Guangzhou Ollo?

As far as chinese parts being bad quality, it's all about standards. Goodyear and Motorcraft (to name only two) deal with plants in china, you don't see them selling sub standard parts.

my 2 cents.

Because all of those markings are completely meaningless. Most people, even the police quite often, have no clue what is actually legal and what isn't when it comes to lighting requirements. Markings on the equipment are usually there to fool or make people think they're buying something special.

Now with that said, you live in Oregon (I think?). Oregon has adopted the federal standards (FMVSS 108) as their state law. So you're fucked. Basically you can only use OEM spec replacement parts that meet the exact federal standards. HID replacements would be illegal in any state that has fully adopted FMVSS 108. You are one of only a few states that have done that.

In all other cases, individual state laws apply and most do not care what you do as long as they are white.
