Exclamation 4evermodding?

I would like to leave a review/concern about member 4evermodding.

The Transaction:

I sold Bru some factory 2.5 lift blocks and a Explorer OHC. I carefully explained that since he bought them around the holidays (12/26/2010) That it would take me a few weeks to ship them. He was very nice and VERY patient with me on this. I sent them out about 2 weeks after purchase USPS Priority.

The good: He was very quick on payment and communicated well (at first). He was also very patient with me on shipping time and very nice to chat with.

Example:

Just wanted to let you know the holidays screwed my part shipment all up on my new blocks and I haven't sent them out yet. I am planning on shipping everything by tuesday-wednesday usps priority. Sorry for the delay. Damn ups dropped the ball on my parts from summit :-/

The Issue: Upon arrival of the lift blocks and OHC 1/7/2010 (delivery conformation) he sent me this message 3 days later:

Sent less than 48 hours later:

Hey their STL, yes i received his first message and have not had time to take a pic of the items, I will get on this weekend as I am very busy right now and don't have time, I appreciate it if you could let him know as I will also send this same email to him, Thanks

Again I will get to you on the weekend. thanks

My response took a few days... He thought i was logged on but look at my posts... I have an iphone and my FRF User CP is always up. I admit I was slow to respond. After chatting with a few members/moderators ?I requested a photo of said damage because I packed the box with proper shipping protection and filler. He said the box was ripped up and damaged and the OHC was damaged badly. I called USPS and found out I had insurance on it for $100, but they need photos or proof (and so do I)

My latest attempt to fix this issue:
He never responded to my PM about taking pictures of the damage
His account doesnt accept any type of contact vie FRF
I have money set aside to pay him his money back but I can't contact him.

My only purpose of this thread is too get his attention. I want to take care of this issue ASAP for him.

I am and will respond to the thread, As for as I'm concerned the thread is unnecessary as their are certain members here who feed off of negative Bull, and you know who you are, Jewerler54 I do appreciate your patience and I have a problem with responding back to pm's, Not your fault, just the fact that I have been dealing with a lot of loss lately, AKA (STU, BEEF08 and other Nor-Cal members can tell you this, Everyone knows I lost my son a few months ago, and last week lost His Daughter (Thai) and My Grandaughter to a drunk driver, she was 1yr old and the impact threw her through the side rear window , even while in her car seat,

Personally I don't need a replacement as it's the last thing on my mind, For members who are ready to bash, I want you to think hard and clear that at anytime things can happen to us and go wrong, I for one don't believe in bashing over the internet and I will never try and make myself out to be the good guy, I prefer to help when I can and I can honestly say that any parts that anyone has ever got from me was free, Again Jewerler54 you should have gotten a answer, and Beef08 saw the part and the box if you need confirmation, since I will be taking some time off, I will replace the part and scrap the broken pieces, don't worry about it, if a picture is important, than it will have to wait, however if you want to recover your funds through USPS, Than I am more than happy to help.

I try to be on board sometime as I deal with my lossess different than some folks, but at the end of the day, i have lost 2 of my pride and joy, sorry if anyone thinks I am to forgetful, the truth is I am.

I knew something had to be going on with BRU, he's usually very quick to respond.
Sorry to hear about another tragic loss man.

On a side note, I always package everything myself. I don't trust ANYBODY (except maybe Clinton 'cause he uses as much bubble wrap as I do) to package my stuff.
The insurance is not a bad idea, but most times it's more hassle than it's worth. Before they'll talk about refunding your money or honoring the insurance, you'll have to jump through hoops & have cooperation from the person who received the damaged item.
Most times, the person who rec'd the damaged goods isn't willing to help either.

Oh my goodness Bru. I am so sorry to hear that. I'm praying for you and your family buddy. Forget the pictures. I don't want you to have anything else on your mind. Like I said in my OP, you were so nice to deal with and very patient with me and I am sorry about the damaged package. I'll go to the junk yard Wednesday and get you another one. Please take care of yourself and I am very sorry for your loss.

I had Patrick watching the thread closely to make sure that you will not be talked about negatively or bashed. Again, thank you for a response and I feel it's my responsibility to replace that OHC. I should have packed it myself.

Godbless friend.

I thought I heard that FedEx or someone only insures if they package the box... not 100% though.... also IMO if you want your money back you should cooperate with the hoops needed to get the refund from the shipping company. I have no problem when my customers get freight that comes in damages so a smaller item, if it's important, should be no different.
