Yes we have Mass Air Flow Sensors. All they do is measure the amount of air coming into the engine from the tubes and throttle body to make sure the *fuel to air* mixture is appropriate for an explosion in the chamber.

I have not heard this, but I have had 0, problems since I installed mine at the beginning of December 2011.

All the UG does is tell you what the computer is reading and allow you to see code errors, along with other helpful functions that let you minuter your vehicle.
I can see what's happening with my MAF sensor without any problem. In fact it has helped me to prove that my Throttle Body Spacer IS actually doing something to the air thats being sent into the combustion chamber... had a mechanic body pull up some MAF 2 or something like that. The air moving into the combustion chamber was actually stronger with the spacer, than without going into the chamber... meaning more torque and little bit more HP.

Just ordered one moments ago. Looks like 2-3 days for shipping so I am hoping to have it on Tuesday of next week, Wednesday at the latest. Looking forward to seeing how it works!

Was real simple. Only hang up I had was figuring out what gauge I wanted, as well as setting the alarm limits. The UG automatically will read you vehicle as a Ford. It just takes a few minutes to scan the computer and systems.

How simple is it to use within different vehicles?

Has to be calibrated in order to do so. Won't work right out of the box. Probly not accurately either

I honestly did not find the MPG gauge that accurate. However the "gallons of gas" gauge is pretty dang close if you fully fill up, or put in how much you put in. I'm good with doing the conversions in my head so I don't use the MPG gauge as a crutch.

Got mine in the mail today and I ordered it mid morning on Thursday. That's a pretty quick turn around time!

Anyways, it works great so far no problems. Goes from page to page seamlessly and updates all the info without hesitation, no lag or anything.

i know it has to be calibrated. but i think it cant work at all with 97 and older because it dosent have something in the engine that requires it to read my mpg.

There's nothing that "reads" mpg. All it does is take the fuel used divided my the mileage driven between resets. You have an OBDII port, it'll work.

Calibration is easy. Go on a road trip (over 50 miles) and use a GPS. Then type the mileage that the GPS reads for the conversion factor. The longer you drive, the more accurate you'll be.
