Re: Review: Ultragauge
Not the best pic but this is where I keep mine. It is completely visible whether I am in P or D and is a perfect location for hiding the cable and plugging it in behind everything.

That's what mine us too. I just didn't know if anybody compensated for what you actually put in at the pump. I usully put a little more in after it clicks off. I really wish these trucks had the fuel sensor, would make this tool flawless.

Re: Review: Ultragauge
There's a fuel level calibration that can be done as well. I haven't done it yet though.
It seems like the fuel level and DTE are agreeing, but not the actual rate of consumption

Re: Review: Ultragauge
I am using 17 gal for my tank size. 19.5 just didn't seem right. I emptied my tank and was only able to fit around 17 gal in.

Re: Review: Ultragauge
There is a reserve. I am almost positive you have 19.5. Dont fill up when the light comes on wait till the needle is past the red line and i bet you put close to 19.5 in it.

Re: Review: Ultragauge
O lol well that's weird I wonder what determines the tank size then? Maybe the 5spd's have the smaller tanks IDK but I def have a 19.5 cuz i have coasted into the pumps a few times on fumes lol and pumped very close to that in mine.

Re: Review: Ultragauge
According to the 2008 owners manual
Fuel tank–Regular cab
(Short wheel base)
17 gallons
Fuel tank–Regular cab
(Long wheel base)
20.3 gallons
Fuel tank–SuperCab
19.5 gallons
My fuel light came on today and my ultragauge said DTE was 130 miles

Re: Review: Ultragauge
Thanks STL. Glad your around to prove me wrong yet again lol. Seems to be a pattern haha.
So how do you calibrate it for DTE? someone said something about page 30, but I really haven't had time to mess with it.
