Default BEWARE!!!!!! shockwarehouse.com

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM<< CHECK OUT THEIR ONLINE REVIEWS FIRST B/C I DID NOT AND WISH I HAD.

So on 9/8/14 I placed an order with www.shockwarehouse.com for a complete package (4) of bilstein shocks. the website stated that if they did not arrive in 10 days to contact them. shocks did not arrive, i called, no answer.. i emailed... no answer, called again, no answer..... repeat.

9/25/14 i receive an email ( automated) that the shocks were backordered ( they couldnt advertise that on their ordering site) until 10/3/14.

10/1/14 i receive another automail that the shocks were still on backorder unitl 10/3/14.

i try calling again.... no response...

10/6/14.... shocks still not shipped, card still not charged.
phone call. no answer
email response request..... no response...
made it through on chat, no idea they had a chat feature, awesome.

chatted with 'chris' and i was informed that they are on backorder for ANOTHER 2 WEEKS AT LEAST!!!!!! hofy luck!!!!
so seeing as how ive replaced most of my suspension components already and ive been waiting on shocks to get get this turd of a project done and i cant be waiting and sitting on the funds that they EVENTUALLY will withdraw, i asked them to cancel my order..... IF IT WAS REALLY CANCELED, I DON'T KNOW..

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!

Aftermarketsuspensionsparts does not carry shocks.

I have been trying to cancel my order with them for OVER 2 WEEKS, today was the first day i managed to make any kind of contact with the people at shockwarehouse.com. I should be receiving an email conforming the cancelation ( "chris" stated a few minutes), that was at 1130am, its now 205pm and still no email. So in reality, i dont know if this shit is canceled or not......

That stinks. Michigan truck spring is a good source for shocks. I bought Bilsteins from them for my 04 Ranger.

Call you credit union and tell them to not allow any charges from that company on your CC. Get the name of the person with whom you spoke to and note the day and the time. Or better yet, ask them for an email confirmation.

You could ask the offending company to email you a cancellation conformation, but it sounds like this would probably never get done.

Sir, your order was canceled as you asked for and as Chris told you. The email was sent to you on 10/06/2014 02:27 pm. The parts you ordered where on a nation wide back order from bilstein and as for you we are also waiting for the parts to come into stock. We can only go by the dates we are given from them. We do apologize for the delay in response, our customer service department is flooded with back ordered bilstein questions. We have been in business since 1988 and we have never seen bilstein get this far behind. We are not some fly by night company we have been around since 88. We apologize for your experience.

Yes, my order was finally canceled, BUT I NEVER received the conformation email I requested (though you stated I have). Your automated emails came through, denoting that my email has been entered correctly into your system by me (your cop-outs stating that if the customer enters contact information incorrectly and un-responded to emails are then the customers fault are invalid). NO OTHER FORM OF CONTACT, besides this posting, has been received from your company by me. If 'Chris' said he emailed me, follow up and verify it, then kindly send me a copy (johnande(at)isu(dot)edu ). Until then, as far as I'm concerned it has never existed and you're trying to feed me bovine effluence. I had to follow the tracking link from my original order emailed receipt to verify that my order had been rendered void.

I understand you've been in business since '88, congratulations, however that dictates nothing about your customer service nor reputation. Sometimes things fall between the cracks, it's life and it happens, and should be a RARE occurrence. The multiple points of FAILED contact starting with unanswered phone calls across multiple days and times then backed up by multiple FAILED email queries, DO speak to supremely sub-par customer service. Some members have expressed satisfaction with your company, for that I am jealous of them. To that note, I'm letting everyone I can know of MY experience. I am that squeaky wheel.

Bilsteins are on backorder nation wide. I can't help that and your company cannot speed up their production. I've never inferred that was a remote possibility. YOU ARE, as much as you might disagree, THE LIAISON BETWEEN THE MANUFACTURER AND CUSTOMER. If things are backordered, it is your responsibility to make that clear (put a note on the product page/ order cart/ home page that they are back-ordered "until date", otherwise the assumption is that the product is in stock and available) (to find out two weeks later that that product is indeed not in stock with a perpetually pushed back backorder date, I find insulting). If you advertise a contact method for which someone can determine availability of parts (due to a lack of transparency) then have someone answer the phone. If the goods are going to be delayed it is your responsibility to inform the customer. That's why we are willing to fork over our hard earned capital to a stranger, IT'S THE FUCKING JOB YOU SIGNED ON FOR.

Oh here is my email search query :
entered in search bar:
in:anywhere 10/06/2014 02:27 pm
results returned:
No messages matched your search. Try using search options to define a new query.

That was the time I should have received that email right?
