2008 radio wiring problems HELLLPPP!!
I have a problem. Every thread I look at says my switched wire should be red and white, only one problem. I DON'T HAVE A RED AND WHITE WIRE!!! I have a red and orange wire, but it goes to my front right speaker. For the love of all that is holy, please help.

If you have access to a multimeter, you can quickly narrow it down.
Are you trying to tap into the wire to power something else auxiliary? If that's the case then I would run off the ignition barrel wiring, and use a relay from a dedicated power source if it has moderate to high power requirements. If somebody hacked your deck wiring and you're trying to fix it, then a multimeter is your best bet. If you hacked into your harness because you were too lazy to buy an adapter, then shame on you! ;) Hope that helps! |

Stock unit? aftermarket? Wiring hack job?

Re: 2008 radio wiring problems HELLLPPP!!
Can we assume you're talking about the stock wiring in a 2008 Ranger? What about a white wire w/ blue stripe? Definitely need to invest in a digital volt meter. Anyone that is attempting to do their own electrical work work should have one.

According to my research, the 2008 base radio circuit and 2008 Satellite radio circuit are the ones I posted in here: http://imgur.com/a/xWGY6
And you're correct, there's no RED/WHITE wire. Here's the 2008 Ranger base radio circuit: http://i.imgur.com/zpdjEyX.jpg |
