4.0 Explorer VS 4.0 Ranger motor
 
As far as these two motors go are they the same as far as mounting to the frame and transmission? I'm getting ready to rebuild a motor for my rig from top to bottom and want to make sure I'm getting the right setup. I can't seem to find photos of the two or other threads that would help me. *Note - I am using the mobile app.

As long as both are OHV or both are SOHC they should he the exact same engine.
