Ravage and Superlifted06FX4

Well since I'm guessing that I'm not going to see the $200 they owe me, I figured I would post this.

Back in January I decided to sell the Superlift kit that I had for my truck for over a year. I originally listed it for $750

Here's the thread:

http://www.fordrangerforum.com/suspe...t-used-pa.html

However, I also posted this for sale on Craigslist at the same time. A few people on here were interested but Dani appeared to be the only serious one. After talking for a while, they decided that they would drive to PA to get it because they also wanted to meet a former member of this site.

I had gotten an email from a guy from Canada stating saying that he was seriously interested in buying my lift kit. I told him that it was already spoken for. He offered me $850, I still said no because I am a man of my word and I didn't want to back out on Dani and Ryan. He then offered me $950 and he would pick it up that weekend as apposed to me waiting a couple weeks for Dani and Ryan to drive out.

So I contacted Dani, told her the situation, we eventually agreed on $850 because of the other offer for $950, which is still obviously less than what the other guy was willing to pay. But like I said above, I keep my word.

Fast forward until they came to pick the lift kit. They met me where I work. I talked to them right after I got off work. But then they threw me a curveball and said that they " didnt expect to spend as much money on gas and tolls " as they did. So they gave me their word that I would have my money within 2 weeks (the other $200). They offered to PayPal me the money, but I don't have a paypal so we settled on a money order. and asked for my address... I've given it to them twice so far

Here's a screen shot of a facebook message of Dani admitting that they do still owe me $200. The first message was on March 11th.

I've literally heard nothing since then, so on monday I sent her the message " So am I going to see that $200? " and I've gotten no reply.

And I can see the whole money problems and what not but its kind of a kick in the balls when she posts about getting 35"s for her truck when they still owe me $200

The part that pisses me off the most, was the fact that another guy offered me $200 more than what I wanted for it, and I STILL said no because I keep my word and didn't want to back out on the deal. So me being a nice guy got me fucked once again.

I was hoping to resolve this through other means but I guess not... I tried.

Sucks that happened Adam... Hopefully this will motivate something.

that drive is roughly 8+ hours ricky. the gas would cost what he is owed.

Yeah I hear what your saying - but at this point it's also about the principle of it all and the value of a mans word.

if you have money issues and you just got a new place why are you dropping almost a grand on a lift

Ravage 05-09-2013 04:20 AM

Well, first of all... I never got a message on Facebook of you asking for the other $200. I told you, you would get it as soon as I had it to spare. I paid for my new tires with a credit card because my truck needed them, considering its my DD. My previous tires were dry rotting, apparently.

I have told you, as soon as I got it, you will. I have yet to buy ANYTHING for my truck besides tires. I can barely buy food right now we've hit such a slump because my job decided they're gonna be *******s. Hence why I'm trying to find a new one. It would have been nice to send me a message on here, cause then hey, I get a pop up saying I have a message. I don't get half of my messages on FB.

And to add to it, I was the first to offer you money for the lift. We agreed on a price first. Then you went back and upped it because of someone else. That's pretty shitty, but whatever. It was a 12 hour drive. Who knew it would cost $600 in gas ALONE in a damn Focus.

And also, that lift was so fucked. We had to cut and modify shit because some ******* decided to weld it to make it not even fit.

You speak of you keeping to your word and I told you, I would keep mine. You had my number. You could of easily called or texted me before bringing it on here.

What a useless thread....you're an ass for upping the price on her...."man of my word" yeah right....don't kid yourself.....and smooth move posting this on here like a child....

And dani I agree with others...if you're that broke now that you couldn't even afford food or tires, you should have been smart enough not to spend so much on something so unnecessary. And as far as "who knew how much gas would cost", it's simple math....I figure that into any trip I take before I go....

So please take your problems private

this section of the forum is here for this reason, so shit gets resolved. when things are kept private, people dont reply etc. call them out publicly then some explanation is needed. and its his kit his price. youre naive in saying he posted here like a child. dani own up and pay him your $200 like you said you would. new 35s are what close to a grand? on top of a lift you couldnt afford? get your priorities straight.

You could have also messaged me at least to tell me what was going on... I mean it's been 2 months since I've heard anything. I figured I was being a nice guy, not saying a word about it and not being an ass by messaging you every week asking where's my money, And upping the price $100 was better than backing out completely and selling to the guy in Canada because I can guarantee thats what the majority of the people on here would've done.

As far as the lift being fucked, I bought it used (as you know) I didn't try to install it. Had I known that it was, I wouldn't have sold it, at least until I could figure out what was wrong with it.

Oh yeah because you wouldn't have upped the price when somebody offers $200 more. Posting this like a child? There's a member review section for a reason... go troll the off topic section
