Homebrew Thread

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to get into homebrewing my own beer and would like some tips from some homebrewers we have on here.

Feel free to post up your tips, recipes or links to your favorite resource for home brewing info.

Thanks!!!

Re: Homebrew Thread

the bucket is about $12 at a local homebrew store & the carboy should be around $35...

you'll need an airlock & bung (lol i love that word):

i knew what you were thinking!

next: buy an 'all-extract' kit. makes life easy & produces beer for about 60 cents a bottle... the good thing about these kits is that the hops are already boiled into the malt extract, and under that cap is a packet of yeast.

Re: Homebrew Thread

awesome awesome.... do you get your extract kits from local store or from online?

Re: Homebrew Thread

you'll also need about 5 gallon jugs of spring water from the store, and enough 'pop-top' bottles for a 5 gallon batch (usually about 50-55 12 ounce bottles)

and you'll need caps & a capper
