water pump leak or not?

i've been loosing a little bit of antifreeze over the past months, never been more than a small leak until recently. its gotten worse and now im having to fill reseviour tank about two thirds of the way every few days to a week. i have seen drops of antifreeze in a few places on the passenger side of the engine but i havn't been able to tell were its coming from. its defently not the radiator so i guess my question is what else could it be if its not the water pump? ive also checked all the lines but they all look fine:confused:

It could be the timeing chain cover, look on the passenger side, close to the front of the engine, just below where the water pump bolts on.

I replaced my entire water pump, thinking that was it, and it ended up being the intake manifold gasket. Just take it somewhere for a diagnosis. Ask for a pressure test or just tell them to find out what's wrong. You'll save money in the long run, trust me.

Agreed on the pressure test best way, cause if it's head gasket then a good shop will be able to tell.

hi all sorry its been a while since ive been able to get on here. been very busy. Something i also forgot to mention in the description of the problem is that i also have a belt squeak that is almost constant. i was thinking it could be the water pump's pulley loosing a bearing or something? thats possible isn't it? if it was the water pump where do they most commonly leak? Pressure test on the way also!

Could be the water pump for sure. There is a weep hole that will usually start leaking if the pump is going bad. I believe it's on the passenger side on the top of the pump.

But yes definitely check the timing cover too. It's common with our engines. Mine has a very small leak at the timing cover.
