ABS Engaging
I have a question about ABS... Last year, I replaced my rotors and brake pads for my front brakes. When I put it all back together, my ABS engages all the time from 10 mph - 6 mph. It started to mess up my rotors (not really bad), but enough! Finally, I removed the ABS fuse to get my ABS to stop engaging itself every time I braked.
About a month ago, I got a new ABS sensor for the driver's side, and installed it. Now... Every once-in-a-while when I brake and get to about 2 or 3 mph (just before coming to a complete stop), it engages, and pulls slightly to the left (and the light never comes on). It is not near as strong as it was before, but it's still a major pain! I read around here, and someone said that it could be the wheel bearing... Is it possible that I need to clean around the sensor, or that the ABS is too tight. I've also seen about the rear differential wheel sensor, but I don't know if that'll apply to my 05 xl 2wd. Any feedback is appreciated. If all fails, I'll just remove the fuse. |
