Ruptured Fuel Filter Line.Is it under Vacuum Pressure?
Does anybody knows if the line that goes from the Fuel Filter to the engine is under Vacuum? I just changed the Fuel Filter and noticed it was ruptured at the end...it came out fairly easy from the older filter...No leaks though !!! :(

Fuel pumps push fuel through the lines.

Thanks Tomboy...
Do you know if by having a rupture in the fuel line could contribute to the intermittent lost of power? |

Re: Ruptured Fuel Filter Line.Is it under Vacuum Pressure?
Thank you !
I changed coils and cables to Accel___ Spark plugs NGK-TRS RV-Power The truck was running fine, but ever since I changed this_It has been getting an intermitent power failure... I could be going 70 mph and next second down to no more than 40 mph...no more ! very scary on the highway !!! What did I do wrong ? Things I did to try to fix the problem: : 1-Changed Fuel Filter, notice the line from filter to engine is rupture_no leaks though. 2-Cleaned the IAC valve. 3-Cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor 4-Changed the PCV Valve_ It had a Motorcraft Brand in it. 5-Changed the Brake Booster Vacuum Gage thinking it could be a Vacuum leak. 6-I check for Vacuum leaks with Carb cleaner method...Nothing ! 7- Changed the Fuel Pressure Regulator. I sincerely would appreciate your help. The lost of power is the same as the YoutubeURL |

Take that accel and ngk junk and throw it in the trash and buy Motorcraft.

Re: Ruptured Fuel Filter Line.Is it under Vacuum Pressure?
Just finished installing new motorcraft spark plugs...No change. Two of the old ones(they were 3 month old) had oil at the electrode end...... Is raining here so I did the work inside the garage, and notice that the truck is running the same 'bad", but very"very" rich.
Any ideas.... Many thanks gentleman. |
