Howdy Friends and Neighbors

Howdy to everyone. Nice to meet you. I am Johnny and I am 55 years old. I am retired and disabled but I am still able to get around.
I love cars and trucks of any kind as well as Rangers. I have had my truck four years now. It belonged to my dad who has since passed.

My Ranger is a 97 Supercab XLT with a 4.0 automatic, 2wd. My wheels are from an Explorer (15 X7 ) with 235/75/15. I have a Chicago winch rated at 8K with a custom made winch frame.

I want to raise my front end so I can put larger tires on it w/o lifting the body or frame. Is that just wishful thinking??

I live in the backwoods of Arkansas ( a country boy can survive) so I need a vehicle I can get out of the mud and snow. I may have many questions in the days ahead.

Hello, i'd love a winch on my ranger but wouldn't get enough use out of it to buy one.

I HAVEN'T HAD MUCH USE FOR MY WINCH SO FAR EITHER. iT IS JUST IN CASE I NEED IT. I LIVE IN THE BACKWOODS OF AR. AND WE GOT STRANDED LAST YEAR IN THE ICE STORM OF JAN. I SOLD MY 800 KAWASAKI TO BUY A WINCH AND TIRES AND WHEELS. THE WINCH WAS ONLY 350.00 AT HARBOR FREIGHT. THE MOUNT IS CUSTOM MADE(WELDED TO THE FRAME) FOR 250.00.
