skid plates on 03 fx4?
Hey i just bought this truck and ive installed a grille guard and off road tires and everything. Im going to take it out off roading just nervous cause it looks like there should be a skid plate right under the front bumper (under the engine) Am i missing one.

you can get one but the stock ford skid plate is like paper or you can make a custom one that will actually protect you

In my opinion, the stock front skids are only for looks. Serve little to no protection and only get bent up should it actually come in contact iwth anything. x3 to above posters.
**btw....this coming from someone who also doesnt have a front skid. |
