Wind noise inside cab

I'm driving a 4-door Ranger I've noticed that in excess of speeds around 90km/h+, there's some pretty loud wind noise from within the cab, so I've done a few tests and I've come to the conclusions; either it's because the doors aren't closing enough to squish the weather stripping, or it's the weather stripping itself.

If it is the weather stripping, is it easy to change by yourself or is there a quick, homemade fix I can do?

I think it could be that or if you have rain gaurds, it could be that as well. I put new rain guard on my Ranger ( Scourge The Tracker ) is what I named him.heh!. Anyway mine has the wind noise as well but I just got used to it. But it could be the stripping too. Hope you find where it's coming from.

Yup, I've got the rain guards. They've actually reduced the noise to a degree, but I mean, not to the point where it alters the truck's aerodynamics :P

I have a suspicion that it's the truck itself, but I'll try putting some painters tape around the window and door area from the inside and see if that helps any.

It is a known problem with the ranger.

The Window actuator gets old and window falls forward creating a gap that make the window whistle, especially after installing Ford Rain Guards(because it sitting inside of window channel).

Roll window most the way up, then grab the window and tilt it back toward the back of the truck.

Hold window while raising it up the rest the way.

You can get new aftermarket actuators from Tony with 1aauto here.

Also remove your side mirrors and look for cracks in the door weatherstripping right under where the mirrors are mounted, at the front edge of the window.

I discovered that my driver door seal had a crack that eventually broke it clean in one spot, right beneath the top of the side mirror. After removing the mirror it was obvious that air was coming in through this gap. So using tweezers and a small flatblade screwdriver i patched it up with little pieces of "Nashua" butyl rubber weather sealing tape. (Found at the hardware store in the window & roofing section).

I only used 2 small pieces but it cut my wind noise by at least 50%! I know if I spent more time and used more tape that I could get rid of even more of the noise.
The best option if you have this issue would be to get a new door seal, which isn't hard to replace, but since I already had the Nashua tape, the cheapest option for me was to repair.
