Swerved to miss a dog, over corrected and hit a concrete barrier, and the rest is kind of a blur. Didn't get home till 5:00am, and I'm still in shock over the whole thing. I hope they don't total it. I think I'm gonna go throw up now.

smakes 01-12-2010 11:25 AM

fuck..

that sucks so much john

you ok?

Johnbaum13 01-12-2010 11:28 AM

Yeah, once I stop crying and throwing up every time I look at it, I'll be fine.

aaron_ariens 01-12-2010 11:28 AM

Oh my gosh! My jaw dropped. No good! I'm SO sorry to see that, looked like a really nice Ranger. I'm glad you okay.

Pbav8tor 01-12-2010 11:33 AM

So sorry to see that. If they total it, buy it back and rebuild.

I'll probably buy a new one and build again. I don't have time to be without a daily driver.

smakes 01-12-2010 11:40 AM

drive the heep! or is it not running yet?

dross93ranger 01-12-2010 11:44 AM

Oh man...I don't know what to say, I have never seen a wheel ripped apart like that. I hope everything gets worked out!

Superlifted06FX4 01-12-2010 11:50 AM

That sucks, but it was your fault. Animals and people give, concrete don't

Jay FX4 01-12-2010 11:51 AM

Glad to hear you're okay. I know exactly how you feel, man. I've been there before.
But at the end of the day, it's just a truck. Your life is way more important.

And being an animal lover, this is hard for me to say, but it's just a dog. I'm not trying to preach to you in particular, especially after something like this happens. But this applies to anyone: If it comes down to it, and you have a split second to decide whether to mow down a dog or else risk crashing/rolling your truck, just hit the dog.

Johnbaum13 01-12-2010 12:01 PM

yeah, I just reacted when the dog stepped out. If I had thought, I would have killed the furry bastard, and just had to replace a bumper.

Fastncrazy1 01-12-2010 12:07 PM

wow, that really sux...what can i say...there really isnt much to say that changes what happened. i feel for ya man...i hope the best for you. at least your not physically hurt right? other than the throwing up part.....

Still, you can't blame yourself. It's counter-intuitive not to swerve to avoid hitting things....

Sandman 01-12-2010 01:29 PM

glad to hear you are ok but sucks about your truck

7pomonakid 01-12-2010 01:38 PM
