I always use motorcraft products on the truck

Not sure if autozone has motorcraft or not. I always shop at Oriellys

i get most of my stuff at advance auto parts.

Everywhere about me sucks balls now. Thrifty's was bought out by Carquest, so now they're Carquest. Schucks was bought out by O'Reiley's, so now they're Schucks O'Reiley. Can't get any of the parts you used to get back under their old banner. Freakin' sucks. Only good is Baxter's Auto Parts(not nationwide, I think just the Portland area). They can get anything and everything you want, at a decent rate. But the convienient places to get stuff have turned to sh!t.

So that's why all the Orielly people have Schucks on their shirts now

Fx4wannabe01 01-08-2010 04:53 PM

Yeah....O'reiley's bought Checker/Shucks/Kragen(CSK) brand of stores. We didn't have any Oreiley's in my area or even section of the country til they bought 'em out. We don't have Advance or PepBoys either.

yeah autozone around here alwayas has what you need the oreillys around where i live has nothing at all and napa is awful put those two together and you would not have a bus full of parts... plus they treat you like an idiot since i am young advanced is alright. and the ford dealership is like private owned and when you order something from them they market up 20 or 25% for coming to them. so thats why i go there and they sell sum motorcraft stuff but not alot and i would like to keep my truck all the same brand so i know whats on it..

it's crazy cause I live in Springfield Mo headquarters for Oriellys so if a store doesn't have it they send you to the warehouse and you can pick it up there.

I'm lucky, here in Gadsden we have an Advanced that is staffed with ppl that actually know what they are talking about not a bunch of ricer punks just here to sell crappy bolt on junk. Within two blocks we have an Advanced, Napa, Orielly's, and Vatozone. I'll wait on ordered parts from the Advanced before I shop at any of the other ones.

The Advanced Auto Parts is where I get everything. Motorcraft, Royal Purple, tool rental, everything. The Autozone that was just built doesnt really have much yet since its new. No orileys around here. Napa is too expensive for a limited selection. Pepboys rips you off no matter what you get. So, around here its Advanced.

yeah there are a bunch of mexicans that work at my pepboy so i just stay away. and yeah advanced does overnight but they just make me feel like an idiot and they are like my brother can fix it at his hose for 20 or 50 bucks

Personally, I can't stand Autozone. Nobody in them knows anything about cars, with a select few exceptions. On the rare occasion that I do go into one, the counter person is usually in a pissy mood for whatever reason. I go to Advance for all the oils and all that. But when it comes to parts, I try to go to Napa. And pretty much all the auto stores nowadays have overnight delivery to their store unless you need to get some oddball part or you have an oddball car.

theres a pepboys litterally right next door to the local vato zone, you look at their parking lot and its full, autozones is empty minus the 2 fleet rangers they have lol. i went into vatozone lookin for some 10ga wire taps and they were like uhh we dont carry those. weird, i found em in the section where it said "electrical"...

98blownranger 01-08-2010 11:06 PM

autozone has great parts, there gold battery were tested the best battery for the price range by consumer reports a year ago

Pepboys is right down the street from me so I usually go there, and Kragens is close by so sometimes I'll go there. Interestingly enough I'm starting to do more and more shopping online (via amazon.com) including even auto stuff... free shipping and no tax makes it easy.
