Looking into lifting my 03 2wd
Any suggestions on brands and what's the best bang for the buck??I'm looking at 31s -33s . I've got a 3.0, how bad will it affect my mpgs??

Do what I did and put spacers and blocks and then body lift.....can easily clear 33's but I run 32's because of gas and I get about 10mpg cause I'm under geared with 3:55. But my lift price was 300 dollars all together for 6' of lift

^^yep thats what i got. Blocks cost like 40 and spacers cost like 80(for good ones), that should give you between 2 and 3 inches, then you can decide if you still wanna do the body lift. I would go 31s by the way. it will help gas mileage and transmission if your not gonna regear.

from his avatar looks like hes got a ranger edge. if so then spacers wont work, would have to use torsion keys. better off just using a body lift so you dont over do your suspension and wear everything out

Re: Looking into lifting my 03 2wd
i have a 2003 XLT, within the last two months i put in 2in coil spacers(from fat bobs garage) a 3in PA body lift and then doing a 8.8 4.10 from a 7.5 3.73 axle this weekend. Im still figuring out 31s or 32s for my truck but im not in a big hurry due to im waiting tell my tires now wear out tell i get new ones maybe next year. yeah a big gap in the front and therear along with i tore off the plastic crap on the front end that is just tacked on there but i think it will help me out later on. so to me that give you a idea of what i did . no pics up yet tell prob later on next week sorry i want to wait tell after the axle swap and then i'll wash it.
