ford ranger blend door fix?
 

i live in michigan and its cold as heck outside.
the heat/ac in my 1997 ford ranger 4 cyl 5 speed doesnt work because of a broken air blend door, is there any way to rig the blend door to stay shut/open so that my heat will work? already have the actuator out, and the actuator does work.

If you already have the actuator out and the actually blend door is broken, I would try to get something up in the hole where the actuator goes to try to turn the door manually to the heat position. If that does not work the only other fix will be to remove the box and replace the door. Good luck
