How do you know when it needs to be changed? Just rolled over 100k.

Well, none of the motors in a 2003 ranger have timing belts, they all run off of chains.

I have 200,000 on my 2001 3.0 6-cyl Ranger and am curious when I should replace the timing belt

You don't, because you don't have a timing belt, you have a timing chain.

I have a 2001, but manufactured in 2000, when should I replace the timing belt?
