Power Steering Leak.
So I was driving to put gas in my truck today, and then I noticed, the steering was a little harder, and was making some noise, I go to check, and theres a leak, and the power steering is empty.
I don't know what happened, cuz yesterday it ran perfect. |
Re: Power Steering Leak.
I found a leak in a black tube for the power steering? I know I need to replace it, but as a temporary fix, Is it ok if I just duct tape the hole? (I plan on going to Disney Wednesday, and the beach tuesday). I probably won't be able to get a replacement until Friday.

Re: Power Steering Leak.
just keep fluid in it and you will be good

Re: Power Steering Leak.
Depends on how bad the leak is. If it's dripping, you may be able to just keep adding fluid. If it's coming out under pressure, you're going to have to replace the hose.
No matter what, I doubt that duct tape's gonna stick to the hose if it has PS fluid all over it. |

This is a picture of the hose thats leaking (the black one)http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/o...x/untitled.jpg
What is it called at Autozone, How easy is it to take out and put in? |
"Flex seal! It's rubber liquid in a can!"

Re: Power Steering Leak.
Replacing the hose should be a cheap and easy fix. Duct tape will never hold.

I got it fixed, I had to replace the hose, Apparently, from steering, the hose rubbed against something, just digging in (Wish I would of caught this a while ago)
