White smoke? Help.

Today I started my truck up and got a bunch of white smoke out of my exhaust. What is usually the meaning of white smoke?

check for oil in the coolant, and check for coolant in the oil. i've seen engines appear to smoke (white color might actually be a lot of water vapor) when water is getting where it shouldn't be. other than that...well i gave you a free bump

bump

White smoke can mean head gasket!

Check for coolant in the oil and oil in the radiator.

That's normal when it is cold outside. If it does it all the time when it isn't cold, it is probably a leaking head gasket. Water is leaking into the cylinders while the engine is sitting and its getting burned off when you start engine.

Do you think you can have some patience and wait more than 5 minutes for a response??

Thanks sorry for the rush I was in a hurry and had to go this morning but didnt want to drive it like that. I found out that it is because of a couple things I have done to my tuck the last couple days. The white smoke is actually gray smoke because I am burning fuel. I recently blocked off my egr completely so im not getting a return of fuel also I extended my cold air intake so it gets colder air and makes my engine burn hotter.

I hate to break it to you, but basically none of that is correct and just isn't how an engine works. Did the smoke go away, and is it happening every time you start it up after sitting around?

No it only does it when it is cold, but my exhaust has the smell of gas bad.

Does the gas/rich smell go away as the engine warms up? It think a leaking injector or two could be the culprit. None of those things you mentioned would have anything remotely to do with this symptom.

if it only does it in the morning and not after it warms up then dont worry. most cars/trucks do that especialy if its cold out.
