New Stereo (Poineer) Hardware help!
Picking up an Double Din Pioneer 3300BT tomorrow and was wondering what mounting hardware you all used.. The hardware from BestBuy doesn't seem to cover the outside (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Metra+-+...etra&cp=1&lp=5) do I even need one? Little help please.

i used the same kit. this is the gap i have. the metra pieces fill the gap on the sides, then when you sit in the seats you don't notice the gap on top/bottom.

Wouldnt you rather have no gap at all?

eh. it doesn't fall out of the hole, that's my main concern. i can live with the side gaps.

Have you seen any kits that cover all and look factory?

That head is not meant to fit your truck.

Re: New Stereo (Poineer) Hardware help!
Are you saying this because of the filing I must do? Or do you believe this stereo to be different than the rest?

I'd get the kit as it makes for a very simple and solid install. Looks great too... I put a double din pioneer in my truck and had to dremel two edges on the bezel top and bottom of the radio hole. Very easy and I posted a pic on here in a thread.
