Re: will this jvc double din work
It will fit just fine as long as you trim the top and bottom lip where the radio sits

Re: will this jvc double din work
how easy is it to pull the stock radio out?
|
Re: will this jvc double din work
Take the 2 7mm bolts out just above the hvac panel and pull the whole panel out then disconnected the lighter and 12v plug and fog light switch then you can unplug the radio harness and antenna wire. Then there are 2 tabs that hold the radio in.

Re: will this jvc double din work
awesome thanks.
this weekends project is installing a pioneer 7" DD :D |
Re: will this jvc double din work
I have the pioneer p3300bt and love it. Only downside I "didn't" like was the aux and USB ports being on the front. Having the cable sticking out sucked and got in the way of the shifter. So I took the radio apart and solider the cable inside running it out the back and behind the hvac and under the explorer console out the tissue hole. Nice and clean now.

Re: will this jvc double din work
haha yeah the one im getting has em on the back with a 5 ft extension i beleive.
where would you recommend routing it to? |
Re: will this jvc double din work
I have the explorer full length console and its easy to hide the wire in it but I don't know if you have that option.

Re: will this jvc double din work
yeah idk, i like the console its got in it now.
Ill try and find a nice spot to hide it close to the drive side. Dont wanna put it in the glove box as thats to far. we shall see what i come up with haha |
