This was my first time in snow with my Ranger. We got 11" of snow in one day. Up until Saturday, I had never put my truck into 4-Lo. Anyways on to the pics and best of all VIDEOS!!! Just give the videos a second to load when you first open them up.
Pics first; they are poser shots, but you get the idea, the videos have the wheelin stuff: http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow003.jpg The next morning http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow004.jpg my dog lots http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow015.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow018.jpg My dogs Ellie and Buddy http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow022.jpg neighbors truck crushed http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow033.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow034.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow028.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow027.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow002.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow029.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow030.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow040.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow041.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow042.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow046.jpg UNTREAD SNOW http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow036.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow043.jpg http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow020.jpg 3 Gens of Rangers: http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...009Snow055.jpg my partner in crime that day along with being the cameraman and who you hear laughing the whole time. The first time I went up it, I slid a little, but it hadnt been rode up yet; it was fresh snow. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv308/dixie_boysles/?action=view¤t=2009Snow037.flv 4 wheeler trail we ride on http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv308/dixie_boysles/?action=view¤t=2009Snow039.flv slush hole In the below videos, i was down in a holler with only one way to get out and it is the hill you see me trying to get up. I kept hitting one spot in the path that the truck wanted to slide. I'd move over a little, but it would still want to slide back into tracks. the final video shows me slapping that biotch in the face and going up it in 4-L0 1st gear. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv308/dixie_boysles/?action=view¤t=2009Snow051.flv http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv308/dixie_boysles/?action=view¤t=2009Snow050.flv here is me conquering the hill; you can see where i struggled befiore. excuse any language on the vids, i was a little aggreveted at the dang hill. http://s694.photobucket.com/albums/vv308/dixie_boysles/?action=view¤t=2009Snow052.flv over all, i was EXTREMELY happy with the Ranger. She did great and could not have asked for any better. The tires performed extremely well too! I think i did pretty good for my first time in snow with a truck. |
Looks like you had a blast out there! Love the BFGs. Looks like they did great.
|
Sweet pics!
What did you need 4-low for? |
seems to me your buddy weighed the truck down too much, once he got out the truck went right up that hill, hahaha
|
Looks like a fun time.
On a side note, when posting photobucket videos you don't need to use the weird code they give you, just post the URL to the video and the forum will embed the video automatically for you. |
looks like a blast! nice videos!

Sweet pics. We got right around 2 feet here. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the truck playing in it.

Nice pics of your truck in the snow scenes, but I'm glad that was you and not me with all that snow... I'm not much of a snow person after living a few winters in central Illinois where it snows the entire winter... and I think they measured their snow in FEET not INCHES... lol
|
looks like fun!!!
|
Nice pics! I want your wheels!
|
^^^ Get in line, LOL!
