wheels for 2009 ranger

hello, i am new to the forum and had a question about a wheel for my truck. the truck is a 2008 ranger...i was looking into buying some black steel wheels for the truck, but was not sure if the wheel would fit. currently it has the factory 16's and i was wondering if a 15" rim would clear the brakes or must i go with a 16" wheel? or what size would look better period? anyone have an answer, i would appreciate it! thanks.

also is the correct wheel pattern 5lug-4.5-3.75 back spacing? i found some advertised for jeeps for cheap, didnt know if they would work for fords...i'm guessing wheel size is wheel size.

i think the smallest you can go on the newer rangers is 15" because of rotor clearence, the jeep ones should work

15's will work fine, hell my stock wheels were 14's!

heep, erm i mean jeep rims are identical in bolt pattern, they work aswell

ok cool i appreciate the feedback man! i'm still not sure which size i will go with, trying to decide what would look better...just trying to get an idea here what i can work with

well, are you gonna lift it and put a meaty ass tire on it, or lower it and put a skinny tire on it. the general rule is

lifted - small rim, fat ass tires
lowered - small tire, big ass rim haha

no wont be slamming it, just probably doing the leveling kit and doing the rims with a slightly bigger a/t...mainly appearance, cant afford to fuck anything up. not now atleast

or you could be like me, and get a standard 15 inch rim and a street tire and lower it.. fail lmao

not quite sure how you can level out a ranger slightly unless you go 3" lift spindles, and maybe a chevy drop shackle in the rear, or factory lift block

either the leveling kit or just adjusting the tortion bars along with an alignment...i dont know too much about suspension and trucks...whats the best way to go, not really looking to lift the truck

Don't forget about your TPMS.... you'll need to decide if you want to fork over the cash to move the sensors to your new wheels or if you wanna leave it... when I swapped wheels I just left the sensors out so I have the light on in the dash all the time....
