Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
I'm possibly going on a road trip in the Ranger in a couple of months, and I have always wanting a custom stereo. Anybody have any opinions on this stereo? Eventually I will be doing speakers and possibly a small sub in the future.
And if not this stereo, what recommendations? It just has to be blue :D |
Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
Pioneer makes some pretty good head units. I have the DEH-3200UB. I got it after I already had aftermarket speakers, so I can't say how it sounds with stock speakers. But it has a lot of customizable sound settings and easy controls. I think most new Pioneers have the multi color feature, you can make them whatever color you want. I can only make mine red and green :(

I'll tell you what an excellent radio is. The DEH-6700mp. This is probably the most saught (spl) after pioneer deck. I had one, it was stolen. But loved that thing. Besides, I hate the new "one big knob" radios...:p

Its a great headunit, i personally love my DEH-P7200HD! its pricey for about $300 but i didnt want a dual DIN and didnt want a touchscreen or any of that. I love the built in HD radio and plan on getting the Sirius Radio and Bluetooth modules for it when i go to do an entire audio build.

Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
what sucks is i just checked pioneer's site and they have an entire new line of headunits and some look kick arse with all these cool features and what not but...........everyone knows you cant keep up with electronics. lol im happy with what i have, it has the features i need and more that i want and that's all that matters.

Pioneer is decent. Pioneer Premier is their best stuff. The unit you mentioned aint bad. Aint their best deck either.

Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
i put it like this, picking out a head unit is like picking out wine (was gonna say beer but that aint that hard lol), there are tons of them, all with different pros and cons. you have to find one that u personally like, matches your budget, etc. Looking it over, for the money its a great head unit. If you want to stay at or below the 200 dollar range, i would take a look at there new line such as the DEH-P7400HD or DEH-6400BT. Might as well get the newest although next year it will be "outdated".

If a head has all the features you want and it fits, well that's what counts. Right ?

Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
Double Din is the size head your Ranger has stock.

Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
Ford must have changed their dash arrangement in the Rangers after a certain year model. I think a DD will fit in them up until 2009, then it requires mod.

Re: Pioneer DEH 7300BT opinions?
I believe the radio bezel has been the same since 94 and always need to be modified for a double din.
Mod is very easy and worth it. I just post a pic of the mod in another thread. If your taking a long trip I'd suggest going to a GPS double din unit. I love my Pioneer Avic x930bt. |
I didn't have a ton of cash to drop so just got a Kenwood KDC-X595. You can customize the colors. 26ish different ones to choose from, one color for the keys, display, and one for the USB/aux input. Plus an in depth audio customize section. All in all it was only 139.00 from
Crutchfield.com. I'll take some picks tomorrow. |
