Torsion Bar Lift For 2010 - 2011 Info
This is for those of us that have a 2010+ Sport 4x4. I know when I was wanting to do a Tbar Lift with my stock keys this would have been great to have. So here is some helpful info.
All Measurements Are From Ground To The Top Of The Inner Fender Stock: Front - 33.5" Rear - 35" No Picture Now if you want to still have a cadillac like ride but have a close to level truck do 5 full clockwise rotations on the drivers side & 6 on the passenger side. Front - 34.5" Rear - 35" http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...-37-10_857.jpg To have it completely level and still have a good ride do 7.5 turns on the drivers side & 8.5 turns on the passenger side Front - 35" Rear - 35" http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...ort/Truck2.jpg If you want to MAX out your Tbars it will be 9 turns on the drivers side & 10 on your passenger side. **WARNING** It Will Ride Like $hit Front - 35.5" Rear - 35" No Picture **All Measurements Were Done After The Suspension Settles** |

Thanks a lot for posting this. I just got a 2011 Sport and have been wondering what the best way to adjust T bars was. I went with the Cadillac setting and it looks great.
Do you recommend an alignment afterwards? |

To clarify in my mind you measured inside the wheel well correct? I always thought you measured both front and back at the molding lip.
Thanks |

Re: Torsion Bar Lift For 2010 - 2011 Info
I have a question, USA: so I lifted my front end to 34.5" according to your instructions. The suspension is indeed a bit stiffer and I am considering going even higher to 35".
If I wanted to have a bit more travel/cushion what are my options? Longer shocks (e.g. Rancho RS5374, Bilstein, etc.)? Shock spacers? What would you recommend? Thanks! |
Re: Torsion Bar Lift For 2010 - 2011 Info
I've "Heard" that if you get longer shocks it helps with the ride but i cant speak from experience. If you do end up swapping out your shocks let me know how it goes.

this would be a great post here --> http://www.fordrangerforum.com/gener...ur-ranger.html

When I did my key lift I added longer shocks. It made a huge difference in ride quality! I added Rancho RS5000's they are built for key lifts, they were 1.5" longer.

Awesome, thank you all for the input. If I decide to go with some longer shocks I will definitely post about it.

Happen to have center of the hub to the body line I am trying to work out how much lift I have without factoring tire size. You could do it at any height sinze you have all the other measurements ill just use them thar mathamatics!

Does this work on a 2003 ranger edge
