Need help with P0500 code

My first post! I bought an older Ranger and it has lots of issues. This is just one of them. I get a Check Engine Lite (CEL) that says P0500. Something to do with a speed sensor? What should I do to cure this code? If there is a sensor I should check or change, where is it? I made a signature that tells what truck I have but I'll put it here to just in case I doesn't show up.
1995 Ranger, 2.3L engine, Manual Tranny, just bought this a week ago. I've been working on it since. New front shocks, new rear brakes, new power steering pump and hose, new plugs and wires, new timing belt, new fuel injector o-rings (top and bottom), new valve cover gasket, changed tranny oil. So any ideas about the P0500?? Thanks!
Ken
