Painting under the truck...

I am wanting to pain the frame as well as several of the other parts under the truck. Obvious its going to be spray painted black. Are there any suggestions for paint? Im looking for just going with Kylon unless anyone has objections. Also looking for any advise, im still learning the art of painting, even if it is just stray pain i know a good look when i see it and i want to make sure that it all comes out right.
How clean do i need to get the parts under the truck in order to be ready to spray paint?

when using the POR-15 paint, would it be possible to use my other method to clean the areas under the truck or do i have to use their recommended way of cleaning the surfaces then applying the POR-15?
It looks like it would work, and im interested, however that stuff is pretty friggin expensive. Not to mention i have no idea how much i will need to cover bottom of the truck.

You dont need to do the POR15 cleaning. After wire brushing or wire wheeling the frame and parts, Scrub the whole frame with purple power, get all the grease off, let it dry completely and paint

Look at this thread http://www.fordrangerforum.com/vehic...uck-por15.html

or you can go with Chasis Black buddy of mines dad did his 89 F-250 and it looks brand new. You would think the truck just came out of the factory if not better
