iPhone vs Android
I have been possibly throwing the idea out there of changing out to sprint and going with the iPhone 5 when it comes out. I most likely will be able to get at least 2 of the phones for free. I currently have Nextel with the i1 android phone.
All yuppy comments set aside, which is a better phone? ease of use, compatability with my pc, etc. I am currently happy with the i1, with the exception that the internet is terribly slow, mainly becuase its on the iden network, which is old, slow technology. The iPhone needs to be the picaso to the spilled paint can for me to lose my 2-way. I also love the ability to pull my sim card and use my other nextel on the fly. I am also able to save money on my plan, because with the i1 you "have to have a data plan" but since they have my i880 down, I dont. And the phone works the same. sell me...... |

Re: iPhone vs Android
You'll like the iPhone a lot better. Most Android phones batteries completely suck and they don't have as good of apps as Apple in my opinion.

Re: iPhone vs Android
I honestly could give 2 shits about the apps. lol
I would say my biggest complaints are the battery life, your right, it does suck! and the interwebs speed. |
Re: iPhone vs Android
Android has a 320k aps vs 360k aps for apple and most are free unlike apple the iphone batary = about 8-9 hours my Droid Razor lasts about 12-14 hours Screens are better on androids and bigger Androids interface is also less problematic to that of IOS

Re: iPhone vs Android
The iphone is a highly polished appliance.
Androids are like a versatile tool. I use android. Battery life is so dependent on usage that comparing them is really difficult. I get two days battery life out of my x, but I am on a custom rom. |
Re: iPhone vs Android
I had the Moto Droid when it first came out. I HATED it. It constantly locked up and disconnected my calls. It would delete pictures from my album. It would text people gibberish while just sitting on the counter.
Idk if I got a lemon phone but I hated that thing. Switched to the iPhone 4 and I haven't had a single problem. Only thing I don't like is how big of a pain in the ass it is to get ringtones. You have to make them yourself in iTunes and it's not worth the hassle. iPhone ftw. Also, when I had the Droid, even with the app killer, I sometimes had to recharge it in the middle of the day. On my iPhone 4, I can go two days without needing to charge it. Add: Oh, Droid has a lot more free apps. A lot of free apps for Droid are $2 or so on iPhone, but mechanically, the iPhone is better in my opinion. |
Re: iPhone vs Android

Re: iPhone vs Android
My wife is a Apple whore. She had to have the Ipod touch. Closed, expensive app market. No expandable memory. Not sure of the battery life as I dont use the damned thing.
My HTC EVO 4G Sprint phone runs off a custom ROM that I can get 3 days of battery life out of. I can expand my memory up to 32gs if I want. Alot better app market and suck. My HTC can do everything the Iphone can. |
