EcoBoost Swap?
So I was wondering if anyone has tried to do an EcoBoost engine swap in a Ranger?
If so is there a build thread? |
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
I'm guessing this hasn't been tried yet..

Re: EcoBoost Swap?
I'd love to have an eco boost in mine. Been thinking about it for a while. It'll never happen though but I'd love to see it done
|
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
That would be sick!
But unlikely to happen seein as how that engine probably cost more than most of our trucks are worth. |
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
people says theres too much wiring and shit that has to be done....id love to see it get done though

Re: EcoBoost Swap?
If any one was capable of doing it. Bob (rwenzing) would be the one.

Re: EcoBoost Swap?
Ha!! I wish I had the funds to put a 3.7L 365hp, 420 lb-ft in my Ranger! But I would be concerned with not being able to put the power down to the road, especially since mine is a 2WD. You would have to put a half ton steel plate over the rear axle...
I am, however, open to donations and help to have this done to mine... :-D |
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
ever seen one in the hood of an F150? yeah its stuffed in there real tight. It wouldnt fit. You could make it fit but this would be extreme.
|
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
it would be pretty complicated
|
Re: EcoBoost Swap?
Someone needs to do it. Think of the MPG gain you would get. Like, 25-27. That or the 305 hp 3.7 V6.
