How often do you change your oil?

This is what happens when you don't change your oil for 60,000 miles.

Saw that the other day...I looove reading the comments from the jalopers. The intelligent ones. lol.

Few years back, there was a similar pic post made by a RF member who worked for a Ford Dealership. SOHC Explorer came in with like 70k on the clock an the engine running weird. Turns out, oil was never changed. When the oil was tested, it still had deposits from the break-in oil. The pics were epic...WAY more epic than the Bimmer pics on Jalopnik. This was some 3 years ago I wanna say.

70k that impressive. I wonder if the cost of a replacement motor is cheaper than the oil changes.

I have seen similar looking engines like that at work. They dont change the oil and they run the piss out of them.

That's really bad. Looks like one of the taffy pullers up in Gatlinburg.

its okay Marie.....i work at O'reillys and i can honestly say that i've had more women come in that know their vehicles better than men.

its still few and far between....i'm still amazed on a daily basis by the amount of people that don't know what vehicle they drive, let alone the engine or even how many cylinders they have.

mcpink 12-05-2009 01:49 PM

Does O'reillys carry blinker fluid? I think mine may be a little low... LOL!
