Red31's Ranger Log

Figured I'd start one of these, I haven't done much yet but I'd kinda like to see what everyone thinks of it so far and what they think of my plans for it. Plan on updating this thread for everything from daily maintenance to major Mods. Thanks for checking it out!

The day I bought 'er. I was so proud of my first vehicle!

http://www.fordrangerforum.com/membe...0-img-0231.jpg

First thing that I did was remove the chrome dealer decal and replace the peeling Grille and Tailgate emblems. No pics of the process but it was a chore and well worth it!

Next I bought my AVS window visors and bug shield, couldn't believe how different it looked. Then inserted a Spectre Air Filter.

Also took off that tacky chrome plate lol

Next I picked up my Better Built, Black Diamondplate tool box.
http://www.fordrangerforum.com/membe...9-img-2625.jpg

Next was the sound system. I picked up a 10" Kicker Bass Station, I liked it because it was all in one and easy to remove if I needed more space. Also got my Kenwood KDC-348U head unit and 2 Kicker door speakers.

That's about all the major things I've done so far. My truck as it sits today.

Future Ideas:

Wheels and Tires: I'm not sure yet.
-ATX Slot Rims (Black with a Machined Aluminum Lip), wrapped in probably Goodyear Wranglers (subject to change).
-Possibly painting the stock steelies until I can afford the new rims.
-New Stock rims if I come across any in better shape then mine and at a good price

Exterior:
-Headlight Mod
- Nightshaded Tail Lights
-Looking into bed rail caps
-Replacing Pinstripes or Removing Them

Lights:
-Wanting to put some Blue LED lights that will shine onto my floorboard.
-Underbody lights and LEDs behind the grille? (Red)
-LED Tail light bar
-Blue LEDs behind my instrument cluster and blue or red LEDs behind my Heating and Air controls.

Well that's about it so far, thanks for reading and I'd love your input. As you can tell I have a lot of ideas and more to come in the future. How many of these I get to do I am unsure about lol all depends on time and money. Thanks for checking out my thread and I'll be sure to keep it updated! Plan on sharing everything from good washings to major mods!!

(Plans are subject to change at any time.)

Lol Maybe if it was lowered, not a fan of the big wheels on stock suspension. Would look cool lowered though, just no plans of it anytime soon haha.

Well, Cleaned the truck up today... Used some Turtle Wax Trim Restorer on the grille and bumpers and looks pretty good. Also trying Rain-X Anti-fog stuff on my windows...

Went and picked up some graphite today, as well. Put it in the locks on my doors and its working pretty good so far, hopefully wont have to get new lock cylinders after all.

Clean :D

EDIT: Turns out the Graphite was just a temporary fix :/... Didn't think I was gonna get it unlocked today, guess new Lock Cylinders are in my future :/

Thanks! I like the Bass Station but wish it had a little more kick to it. Gets the job done for the money and space though! I plan on staying stock for at least the next 5-6 years because I hunt so much and have to take it off the beaten path. I think long-term and after I graduate I wanna find a 4x4 F-150 and turn this into a REAL project lol.

Right now I'm shooting for a unique daily driver that I can work some too.

It was the first one that my local shop had sold to a small regular cab truck and they couldn't believe how well it fit. Like it came stock.

yea exactly it looks like it should be there, plus it only takes up space behind one seat so you still got some room it looks like

I put it in the middle, it would kind of offset behind one seat because of how much the stock speaker pod things stuck out. But only offset an inch or so.... If I ever doubled up or anything and got another it wouldn't bother me putting one behind each seat. Left plenty of space though and has 2 plugs going into it so it comes out in seconds if I need it too.

They have a bigger one now for $500 that pushes 450 watts, I wish I could've found that when I was looking. Its not completely carpeted though.
