I wanna go fast

anyone got any suggestion for performance part for a 2000 3.0,

ive got exhaust already done, my cats are still on and i have a cherry bomb glasspack then a 2 1/2 inch pipe with a 90 degree turn so it cames out in front of my back tire
i did have the same setup except i had dummy duals comin out the back corners but the new setup gives me a lil better sound and a lil more power

thats all i have so i need advice and suggestions

If you wanna go fast I suggest a vehicle (or engine) other than a Ranger.....

best bang for the buck: pulleys and a tuner.

Underdog pullies FTW also K&N cold air intake.

POWER-RANGER 11-16-2009 08:33 PM

where might i be able to find these pulleys at? cheapest place to get an intake?

440volt 11-16-2009 09:38 PM

Look to Underdog at www.stuffforyourranger.com He sells the pulleys you need. He also sells an Xcal2 tuner that will help your need for speed. Also available are higher ratio rocker arms. Beyond that your gonna have to add boost. Whether a Whipple kit, (hard to find, but out there) or by turbocharging.
Or go the way out route and see http://www.moranav6racing.com/
Unfortunately, speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?

POWER-RANGER 11-16-2009 09:47 PM

id like around 250 to 275 hp.. just enough for some decent "get up and go"

olfordtruck 11-16-2009 09:47 PM

You can either spend $279.99 on a pathetic looking K&N intake or spend $169.50 on a 3" aluminized steel tube intake system made by MAC Performance... It was a easy choice for me to make! The above site that 440volt posted for underdog has the MAC intake on his site... or you could just go to the MAC Performance site!

id kill for that much horse power.. mine barely breaks 100 if that :(

olfordtruck 11-16-2009 09:51 PM

I dont think the 3.0 will support 275 hp with stock internals... 250 is probably the most us 3.0 owners will see without forged internals/ blower/ aluminum block and heads. Mod up that 3.0, run it till it dies which will be a while, and then either put a 302 in it or get a Tom Morana 3.8 V6 that is complete stroked out to a 4.4... that bad boy is a complete engine and its on his site. Ready for 20 lbs of boost.
