1991 Ranger heater problem
 

Hello forum,
This is my first post - thank you for the Ranger forum.

I have a girl friend with a '91 Ranger that has a heater problem. The heater motor does work if I jump it staight to the battery.
hears the wierd part; The connection does show 12 volts on my meter but when I put a 12 volt bulb tester to it the volts drop to zero and the light does not light up. I am stumped...any advise?

We need some help here, Winter is coming to Colorado! anyways Thanks in advance.
