'02 Ranger Won't Stay Running

We have a 02 Ranger, 3.0L that started sputtering then quit running all together. We have replaced the plugs & wires, the coil, IAC, cleaned the maf sensor and checked the maf. We did notice that the catalytic converters are turning cherry red. We are going to check these tomorrow. Any additional thoughts or suggestions?
