MAF sensor mod

I have an idea in my head to go to a junkyard and get a plastic maf sensor off a windstar or something, pop the sensor out and drill out the hole where the wires are... Ive also seen ppl cuz out the shaft part of the housing but that seems like it would let more air slip past the sensor and make the engine run lean, has anyone tried either of these methods? Or both?

I dont want to run lean, i think it already is... I want to open up the most restricted part of my intake, the maf housing is really restrictive on the 3.0! I want to drill out the hole to make it run a lil more rich so i dont burn my valves...

It would be much easier to just figure out why the truck is running lean.

I think its cuz 2 of my injectors r going bad but i got new ones on the way, but thats not my point... Im wondering if anyone has tried this so i dont have to hack up some junkyard parts

WTF are you talking about. No, nobody has done what you're describing because it is absurd. Nothing you're saying is making any sense.

Yea man go down to any shop and ask them to scan it, probly do it for free cause it will need some work if its running lean already. Especially if you can tell its running lean.
