I'm glad they have a time limit, though. It looks like it would be awesome to watch, but I'm sure that it could go on for hours if they really wanted to.

Re: Combine derby!!!!

yeah the first heat they set a 20 min time limit. then after the wedding, they gave the guys time to "regroup" and then went back at it. they didnt set a time limit after that, jut till they had one left.
the winner was woody. it was between him and the crusher. crusher had one flat rear tire and the other rear tire was town completely off the spindle. he drove around with the steering linkage broke in two using just the separate tire brakes to steer. his combine was a beast with the 504 turbo diesel in it.

that looks AWESOME. those things are sketchy enough to drive without people trying to bash you with another one.

Florida is too gay to have these. :(

I've always wanted to see one of these. I have seen school bus figure 8's and derbies, so I guess that's close.

not far from this fair, they used to have school bus figure 8's... untill someone was killed, then it was over with.

We had that problem a county over from us. It was a charity race, and they let someone big from the Sheriff's office drive a bus. Well the door was no functional, and I guess he wasn't wearing the seat belt, so upon one of the impacts, he fell out, went through the loading door, and was run over by his own bus. After that, the instance of school bus races became less frequent although I do still see them pop up every once in awhile. Most of the drivers also fielded cars every week. They'd usually rip out the bus motors and throw in a 350, sometimes from one of their race cars. It took those buses forever to get going.lol.
