squeaky ranger

just bought a 2000 ranger and when i go over a bump it sounds like a chain or something is under the truck. im guessing that its the front right shock squeaking. any help on the subject would be great.

Ball joints check them also

Rock the truck from the outside. That might help pinpoint where it's coming from.

Prolly ball joints or control arm bushings.

All depends on exactly what kinda ranger you have
2wd
4wd
Coil Spring Front Suspension
Torsion Bar Suspension

Plus u will wanna replace upper and lower

On the uppers, if they haven't been replaced before, you have to replace the whole upper control arm. The Moog replacement control arm has ball joints that can be replaced, but the stock ones can't.

Thats right forgot about that John. It is worth your money to buy the moog upper arm so down the road you can replace just the ball
