Yes its mine, yes it was free and no, you cant have it! lol My grandpa actually gave me this boat a few years ago and I havent done much with it since then (had a motor but it was junk, sold it in a yard sale) but my wife has been bugging me to bring it home and clean it up and try and find a motor for it. Its a 12' JC Penny (yes, they used to sell boats) and its in good shape but the finish is faded bad. The trailer is in good shape but needs some paint and the bearings gone through, I put a new light kit on it a few years back. My plan is to paint the boat inside and out, (hate the baby blue) get some nice backed swivel chairs, and mount some lights and rod holders. First order of business is to find a decent outboard for it so I can use it.

Any ideas on what color to paint it? Im thinking light tan or an olive drab green outside and light tan inside.

lol, i was singing that in my head as I was making this thread.

I have thought about it, I would probably pull it more with my F-150, Im having trailer light issues with my Ranger. Only thing about putting a nice automotive paint job on it is that I will need to drag it across the ground to get to some of the hard to get to fishing spots so I need a tough but easy to touch up single stage paint.

yeah I think it will be a fun little project. I kind of want to name it but my wife said youre not supposed to name such a small boat, I call BS.

Haha size don't matter all boats need a name. I had a 26' Sea Ray a few years back I named Knot Wading because I've been told i'm an impatient person

screw it, just get some glue and paint it on, then throw metal flake on that and seal it. DONE DEAL
