Hello to all! I've been enjoying the writings of like minded folks in these forums. I just got a 1995 2wd 2.3 auto to add to the family Ford collection. It needs a little work, mostly tlc and cleaning. Wasn't running when I bought it, just put in a new starter (cost a c-note) after replacing burnt wiring (old starter had dead short), and added some gas and it fired right up. Smoked a lot at first but then tapered off to an acceptable level. Then discovered it also has a coolant leak behind the alternator. We'll be checking that out after the holiday. HAPPY 4RTH OF JULY! BARBECUE ON!
