Richarddhoward and Norma (Pic Heavy)

So I have had my truck for a little over three years...and been on here almost as long. Might as well strike up a build thread!

This is the truck basically as I got her.

A little back history...

My Grandfather - Norman Dale Howard, listed in my sig, purchased the truck new. I remember when he brought it home. He passed away in 2008 in April from complications due to cancer. He left me the truck, I wouldn't take it from Grandma, so I paid market price for her 5800 bucks.

I needed a 4wd for Montana, as I was going to college there, and it gave me some more room, and the ability to take all of my crap with me! I got the truck with a tick over 30,200 miles on her. Mind you this is a 97...GOLD MINE!!!

I added a canopy, a sticker commemorating Grandpa, a cd player with Ipod attachment etc. I'll get the pics up later. But I might as well start here.

This truck has taken me through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and hasn't so much as hiccuped.

I just rolled over 100K on Friday 6/3/11, and man what a ride. In 2 years and 10 months of ownership she's lead me to FRF, great new friends, and adventures that will last a lifetime. I miss the old man, I'd trade this truck in a heartbeat to have him back. But I just remember he is always riding shotgun with me. The line in the family is he is my Guardian Angel.

This truck literally has been coast to coast, I'll get the other pic up here soon. The above was taken at the Dunes in Oregon.

I've been sporting these for almost a year now.

But that's all for tonight, you'll find me here until I get bored again and take pics of the new mods, and post some of the other things I plan to do to here. There is an evil plan...and if this weekend works out half as well as I want...I'll have a lot of it out of the way. Until then, I will see you on the road...keep cruising till the needle says E. Fill 'er up and get back at it! Thank you FRF and good night!

Thanks man

I think I left this part out...the truck is named Norma. In a weird way after Grandpa.

I have seen some of the most beautiful country, no reason to not snap a pic. I wish I had more pictures of some of the stuff I have seen cruising around.

That's not always a bad thing though. An old soul is full of knowledge, and I believe you're a very intelligent 24 year old.
