Hella 500FF

A friend is selling some Hella 500FF's lights with 100W bulbs in them currently and a set of 55W standard and 100W xenon on the side. They have minimal use (tried making a light bar for his Pathfinder and he didn't really see the use so he took them off). He's asking 55$+shipping.
This is one set, does not have wiring, and does have stone shields and a relay. (talked to him he does have a relay with it)

Re: Hella 500FF

You should probably put if they are Fog (flood) or Spot (distance pencil beam)

You can buy them new from a guy on here for 50$ or less shipped....even with 100w bulbs if they are all used and missing wiring I wouldn't buy them for over 50$...I probally wouldn pay 40$ with it missing wiring AND relay...jus sayin...GLWS

What exactly is a "100w xenon" bulb
How is that any different than a normal halogen bulb?

Xenon refers to HID not halogen..?

Re: Hella 500FF

For the xenon bulbs i think its just the color of it, because these are halogens.

I can get you a brand new package with the wiring harness and switch and all that (as if it came new out of the box)

Hit me up if you need one - $11 + shipping

Could these mount well on my front bumper without a guard? a guy at a 4X4 shop said I could drill a couple holes underneath my grille and they could hold up there. And then, how does the wiring hang going back to my cab?

for me i have hella 50FF they are a smaller oval lights, i used light tabs (L bracket) that i bolted onto the back of the bumper. works great. for running wires into the cab i ran it thru a grommet. top right of the brake pedal i believe. it had a round switch so i took out the cig lighter and cut off the back of it and stuck the switch right there in it's place

If u do it make sure u drill holes were it's the strongest. And as far as wires I ran mine threw my motor compartment and thee a hole on my floor board

Re: Hella 500FF

Well I guess I'll get a guy to wire it for me. I don't trust myself with electronics. Haven't done much wiring in my time.

Re: Hella 500FF

Nor have I. All I have learned was by experimenting on my own truck. I used the stock wire harness and I didn't like it so I redid it with thicker wire and I'd say it's decent. But if your interested in these can email my friend ligushka@gmail.com
