Chrysler Crossfire

I have only seen a few of these Chrysler crossfires before

Was coming home from getting my son at school and was behind this one. Was kinda laughing at the tiny spoiler on the back and thought wow what a waste of money to rice out the car.

Well then we go to get off and they get off also. Thinking cool I can get a better picture but Once we come to a stop all of a sudden the spoiler was going away. I did not know they did that.

My grandfather had a crossfire.....he's a big guy..shortly sold it because he couldn't fit in it. lol...I' pretty sure theres a button for the wing.

Na its auto and its like the porsche it directs the wind over the radiator it to is in the rear of the car

SmokeyMcPot420 10-19-2009 04:29 PM

oh maybe it is auto....I wasn't sure.

bigtoys2004 10-20-2009 06:34 AM

I question the radiator being in the rear. Why would they put it in the rear of the car when the engine is in the front?

blueovelboy 10-20-2009 07:19 AM

who knows and on the cross fire its in the front? thought it was in the rear hell i dont know

The wing comes up automatically at 62mph. Chrysler says its to help with down force at higher speeds. In 05-07 they made a SRT-6 model it had the supercharged V-6 with 320 hp and 310 torque. I don't think they look bad but I wouldn't own one.

too dam small for me so id never drive one. the 911 porsches have a wing that comes up at 70 mph exactly like that.

I believe there's even a model of the VW Beetle with the speed activated spoiler.

Johnbaum13 10-20-2009 08:47 AM

yup. It's the new thing for posers. Porsche did it for a reason, and then other copied it to look cool.

LOL that's so true!
The cars you see these things on are the cars that have no business having them in the first place.

blueovelboy 10-20-2009 08:58 AM

well i know for a fact the vw use it for the same reason as Porsche's to cool down the water temp and ( dim sum smart nattzzys!) for the cross fire i thought it was the same to but like i said i cant be sure on that one
